What Minor Illnesses Can I Treat Virtually?
A virtual visit can handle more than you might think. I can see patients for mild respiratory illnesses, rashes and other skin conditions, pink eye, sore throats, ear infections, and nausea or vomiting. I also treat uncomplicated UTIs and yeast infections in women.
If at any point I determine your symptoms need a higher level of care than I can safely provide virtually, I'll tell you right away and you won't be charged for the visit. Your safety comes first, always. A few conditions that do need in-person, emergency care rather than a virtual visit, include chest pain, severe headaches, and abdominal pain. If you're experiencing any of these, please go to your nearest emergency department.
Beyond Minor Illness: Other Ways I Can Help
Same-day virtual visits aren't just for colds and rashes. I also treat mild anxiety and depression with regular follow-up visits, so you have consistent support without long waits between appointments. And if you've unexpectedly run out of a medication and can't get in with your regular provider in time, I can often help bridge that gap with a refill. I know those things happen!
Traveling outside the United States? I can prescribe travel medications and certain travel vaccines as well. Injectable vaccines still require an in-person pharmacy visit, but oral vaccines, like the yellow fever vaccine, can be prescribed through a virtual visit.
